“So we must love while these moments are still called today
Take part in the pain of this passion play
Stretching our youth as we must, until we are ashes to dust
Until time makes history of us”
I’m taking a moment of gratitude, however brief it may be in this tornado of a day. Gratitude for the friendships that weave themselves in and out and around and about my life. The comfort of knowing I can lean my tall frame in any direction, and there’ll be a sweet soul ready to bear the weight. The enlightenment that comes with allowing a fresh face into my inner circle, and the warmth found in the extended hug of an old friend.
For this I am thankful, and I know I’m not alone.
Be sure to thank your sweethearts today.
