If you’re friends with me on Facebook or follow me on Instagram than you’ve probably seen my million hashtags on most of my posts. Some might find them completely annoying (my sister) and some might not even notice or read them (probably most people) but I put them on for one reason; motivation and positive energy. I follow a ton of different athletes on both FB & IG and have joined multiple running groups over the past few years. On my ‘I don’t wanna’, ‘I just can’t’ or ‘how the heck am I going to find the time’ days I browse through my news feeds and gain motivation to #getitdone from all of them. It’s my hope that someone, having one of their own days, might see my posts and accomplish whatever task they are fighting in their mind.
While running the other day I came up with a new one, #feelstrongbestrong. It goes along with my all time favorite, #shebelievedshecouldsoshedid. It’s all about positive thinking. If you think you can and you tell yourself you can than you will. I tell my daughter all of the time that she can do anything she sets her mind to. And so can any of us, all it takes is believing in yourself.
As this year winds to an end and the New Year is on the horizon, I’ve started reflecting on this past year and begun my planning for 2017. Every year I set a list of goals to accomplish, both in every day life and in running. This year is no different and although I’ve been told I’m crazy in the running department, I’m keeping a positive outlook and can’t wait to prove what a little bit of positive energy, dedication and motivation can do to #pushthelimits.
Cheers to the end of a great year and the start of a new one! May positive thoughts bring you and yours a year full of great success wherever you want it!
