Summer is officially over. The beach toys have been put away, the Keens retired, the tan lines are beginning to fade and the cool mornings of autumn have arrived!
After a brief summer hiatus, the ladies of Runilikeamom are back for fall with new material, new race stories, new adventures and even some new additions to our Runit family.
Over the summer our Runit crew logged more than 800 miles!
We participated in everything from 5Ks to first-time ultra-marathons, from the trails of Ragnar to the shores of Canada and down to the beaches of Florida.
Summer running can be difficult. The combination of the heat, vacations, cold-delicious-cocktails, and epic desserts can work against the greatest of training plans. However, our dedicated crew logged the miles, crossed the finish lines and enjoyed each and every free beer!

We were busy not only running but also enjoying summer with our loved ones. We celebrated milestone birthdays, welcomed new family members, went on amazing vacations, got in family runs and ate delicious homemade meals. We did what made us happy, and we enjoyed every beautiful moment the summer afforded us.
So here we are…October. We are back and ready to share our adventures with you. Follow along on the journey as we train for new races, make new friends (including an initiative to support our local chapter of Girls on The Run,) tackle the holidays, face parenting challenges, and find new and interesting ways to stay motivated and inspired.
