Published fact: More than 50 percent of American Children are not challenged properly with physical activity, and if we don’t start making changes that number is due to triple in the next year.
Published fact: Children ages two to eight will spend close to 25 hours per week in front of a television. That is the same amount of hours spent in school.
Published fact: Statistics show 40 percent of children will develop early signs of heart disease starting as early as eight years old.
Published fact: Children who are challenged and engaged in proper physical activity, daily, will have higher self-confidence, self-esteem and function at a higher level of learning in school.
Published Fact: You are what you eat. We often think of “junk” food as a reward, but it truly is a punishment to take in all of those processed ingredients. Change your thought process, “treat” your body like you want it to treat you. (Reward it with proper fuel, just like maintaining your car.)

Monday Family Motivator: Get bundled and get outside at least two times this week. Keep a back pack stocked with a few adventure items: granola bars, water, binoculars, a book about birds and a camera. I personally challenge you to get out for at least one walk with your children this week. Take a photo to capture the moment and get those juices flowing!
My Personal Challenge: Cardio for 20 minutes alone (no kids) two days this week, come on I challenge you!
