June 3, 2015 (tomorrow!) is National Running Day – a day when runners across the country are invited to share and celebrate their love for the sport of running.
You could celebrate your running passion by simply going on a run, but you could also try convincing a non-runner friend to go on a run with you (be sure to warn them that the running bug is contagious!). You could register for an upcoming race or set a new running goal. You could treat yourself to an awesome piece of new running gear or create a new playlist to rock out during your next run. The possibilities are endless. It’s up to you how best to express your running love!
I honestly feel like I would be lost if I hadn’t discovered my love for running. There are so many reasons why I run. To overcome. To stay healthy. To de-stress. To get stronger. To bond with friends. To feel amazing. To relax. To push limits. To get better. To challenge myself. To justify dessert…and bacon…and wine.
But mostly, I just run because I can.
I’ll be celebrating with at least 3 miles tomorrow, and I’ve recently registered for my second full marathon. I think I’m in this running relationship for the long hall!
Why do you run?
Will you join me in celebrating #NationalRunningDay tomorrow?
