As the earth spins and tilts, we are taking full advantage of her beauty, so respect your mother earth! As the nice weather approached, I began to take my exercise outdoors! While I began running on the street, I, of course, see the litter alongside the roads, and down the sloping hillside. As afternoons roll by, one after another, and I continue to turn to the streets for my run, I have really noticed the amount of empty beer cans, and plastic nip bottles that litter the side of the road!
Seriously! I think I will leave a trash barrel at the end of my drive way, and people can just pull up and drop their empty road sodas in there. It’s 5 cents people- shit adds up!
But seriously- Earth Day is coming up (which reminds me, happy 4:20!)But, no really, Earth Day is this Wednesday, and I just wanted to remind everyone to respect our mother earth!
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!
Sounds so simple, right?
Remember to recycle! (guilty 100% of not doing this)..but know I really should!
Remember to not waste water! (guilty of showering twice a day).
Remember to use reusable grocery bags! (yeah right, I seriously have to do role call to make sure I didn’t lose anyone)…you can forget remembering my bags!
I know I’m not alone. I know some of you out there are guilty, too, guilty of being wasteful! But one thing I can say is – I am NOT A LITTER BUG!
What is seriously going through one’s head when they consciously make the decision to roll down their window and toss out their filth? I mean can’t you just stuff it up under your seat?
NO ONE LIKES A LITTER BUG!
Let’s love our world and try each day, to do all things a greener way!
With your children this Earth Day, you could do so many different things to teach them how to love our planet! You could put a bird house up outside, plant some seeds in the windowsill. You could turn trash into treasure by reusing plastic and metal cans, you could turn junk mail into paper airplanes or boats to float in the puddles.
You can also teach your children to give away old toys they don’t, you could shop at a second hand store, and have the children be a part of the donating!
Show the world how much we care! I am really good at talking about how to be greener, now with your help we can be a greener team together!
Respect our mother earth. We only have one chance to make it last for our children.
