Last month, I bought my first pair of ToeSox. For those of you that frequent the Barre scene, you know that ToeSox are all the rage! They are these cute little crop socks that expose the toes for better foot placement and floor grip. When Danielle handed them over to me, I couldn’t wait to put them on! I ripped open the package, slipped the snug little socks on, looked down and…
…saw ten, unkempt, paint-chipped, dry and tired toes looking up at me. Well, that’s a let down. My new super-cute Barre accessories were over-shadowed by my sad looking toes. Something had to be done. Off to the spa!
My first spa-inspired ladies’ date was at Angel Tips, in Canton. What a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. I hadn’t seen some of the girls that came out in a while, so it was nice to catch up and make my toes look pretty at the same time. The following day, I went to Barre with my newly beautified feet and took a snapshot of the results.
Ahh, much better!
But my painted nail project didn’t stop there. The following month, a group of us gals had a baby arrival pamper party at Noella Nail Spa, in Avon. With this being my friend’s fourth bundle of joy, we knew that she had it covered with all the baby essentials, so we “showered” her with a spa day, instead!
We each brought a food or drink item with us and had a lovely spread of lite fare to nibble on, throughout the evening. I highly recommend the Reflexology Pedicure that I picked out for my spa treatment. It was an intense pressure point-based massage on the legs and feet, which was a-maz-ing! I think I actually fell asleep in the chair, once, or twice. It was so much fun at the spa, with great food, wine and conversation, that I decided to get a manicure, as well!
What do you think?
And yes, I did make another ToeSox purchase. Speaking of purchases, now that my fingers and toes are full of the springtime flare, it is now time to show them off with some opened-toed shoes!
Hmmm, I think I’m going to need some more open-toed shoes…
…to be continued (smiley face).
