This post is for my mom. I have written about my struggles with losing my father, but I have never written about the joys of still having my mother! This Sunday, my mom celebrated her 66th birthday! I just want to take a few moments to share with you about my mom!
She is a tiny woman, no bigger than 120 pounds and maybe just 5 feet tall.
She has a mouth like a trucker when she is pissed.
She likes her house to be a comfortable temperature of 85 degrees year round!
She beat lung cancer and was one year cancer free this past June!
She gave me four siblings!
She was my first teacher.
She loves to gamble!
She loves Bob Segar!
She is the best cook I know!
She was my first friend!
She makes me really nervous when she drives!
She is why I am here today!
Since I taught you how to get into our blog site, and I know you are at work on your lunch break reading this, I just want to tell you how much I love you! I just want to thank you for everything you have ever done for me! I just want to thank you for making me who I am today! I want to thank you for always believing in me, for letting me fail and for bailing me out when I got myself into trouble (hardly ever). I just want to thank you for fighting for us your entire life!
Happy Birthday Mom! I hope this next part of your journey brings you laughter, peace and comfort. It’s time for the next best part of your life to start!
I LOVE YOU!!
