Last time I did a Treat Yourself Tuesday post, I wrote about rewarding myself with new workout gear after meeting all of my fitness goals for the week. This time I am talking about treating yourself for no reason at all, other than, you deserve it.
Moms are busy – period. From work obligations to school obligations, playdates, after school activities, birthday parties, family gatherings, errands, etc we have a lot on our plate. On top of our everyday demands, our calendars are about to fill up quickly with holiday festivities. While we may think stress is just a part of our job, it is actually quite harmful and can manifest itself in ways we may not recognize as stress, headaches, fatigue, moodiness, etc.
So, today I am treating myself because I know I deserve it. Today, I called up one of my favorite spas and booked a facial for myself and a massage for my husband. We are taking the day off of work on Thursday, something we normally would never do, and plan on feeling anything but stressed for one day this week. I can’t wait.
I know this is a big treat, and not everyone may be able to take a mid-week spa day, but there are plenty of other ways to indulge yourself for one day. Get creative, think of something that will truly make you feel better and go out and do it/get it. Treat yourself, you deserve it!
