Belt or Pouch? Which do you prefer on long runs? I have used both and would highly recommend the running pouch. I purchased a running pouch at the Marine Corps Marathon Expo and used it for the race. As much as everyone says don’t try anything new on race day, I saw this product and thought it would be great. It met all of my needs for race day. I needed a place to carry my phone because the armband I had used during training was cumbersome. I also needed a place to carry multiple gels packs, lip stuff, headphones, extra hairbands, etc… I was going to be out there for a long time and wasn’t sure what I would need during that time period. The product is called RooSport Magnetic Attachable Running Pocket, and I purchased it for $20.00 at the Expo.
The concept is very simple. The pouch is made of lightweight material and you slip one side of it into the waistband of your shorts or pants. It secures to your waistband with a magnet. There is a zippered section as well as an open part that allows for easy access to your gels. The zippered section is also a nice feature because whatever you put in there is secure. The pouch didn’t move at all during the marathon nor did it drag my waistband down. One of the issues I had with running belts is that they would move up from my hips to my waist and I would constantly have to adjust them. One of the other issues I had with the running belt is that the pocket itself was very small. It was difficult to access my phone or pull anything out of the belt without everything else coming out.
I would highly recommend trying the RooSport Magnetic Attachable Running Pocket if you are in the market for a product to hold your gear. I am not being compensated to review this product. I just wanted to share my awesome find!
